Why Do I Need A Translator Who Can Translate Polish To English

 

 

Last month I visited Poland from England. Being an Englishman I obviously am not familiar with the Polish language, therefore I faced lots of problems for this reason. I needed someone who could have translated the language, i.e. I needed a translator Polish to English, but I was helpless to find one.

The problems began from day one of my visit. The accommodation I was staying in interestingly did not have any fluent English speaking attendants. Only a supervisor was able to speak to me. From the door keeper to the waiter, everyone Polish! Annoyed I decided to take a walk around the hotel. While roaming, I came across a Flower dealer - lovely daffodils and cute roses loaded her flower bouquet.

I asked her about the price of one flower bunch and the woman just kept staring at me for 5 minutes. Having already gotten used to the treatment I decided to find a little boy who could translate Polish to English. Yet as I said I searched, but could not find one. The tour thus had this sort of incidences all the while.

Fortunately my job was not of talking to the Polish people very much, so I was able to concentrate on my work. Occasionally such events occurred to amuse me, that people are so reluctant to learn the international language. You may say that was real patriotism, but in the search of true patriotism they lost a few foreign currency which could have had some influence on the economy!

But I was also ignorant to go into a foreign language country not knowing anything about them. Now that I have returned, I am studying the Polish language - at least partially. Lastly as they say in Polish - pozegnanie. (I used a translation Polish to English software for the last statement)
